The HWYW theme song was created by Ted "Teddy" Leo and inspired by the Golden Girls and punk-rock. The song features an infectious drum beat and electric guitar riff.
The lyrics are as follows:
Catching up on television, should be catching up on sleep / I hate that song, my boss is weird, the cat's in heat, I'm starting to freak / But listen to me goin' on, I haven't even let you speak / How was your week?
