The theme song to HWYW was created by Ted "Teddy" Leo and has been the shows theme song since Episode 1. The theme is punk-rock inspired and features a driving drum beat and electric guitar. The lyrics include:
"Catching up on television, should be catching up on sleep,
I hate that..[inaudible].., I'm starting to freak,
Listen to me going on, I haven't even let you speak,
How was your week?"
